KaQuill (“we”, “our”) provides a conversion-intelligence service to SaaS operators. We act as a Data Processor for the events your application sends us about your end users.

What we collect

• Event data: the event name, timestamp, and properties you choose to send via the KaQuill SDK (e.g. pricing_viewed, feature_used).
• User identifiers: a stable user_id you supply. We do not collect names, email addresses, payment details, or location data unless your application explicitly passes them in event properties.
• Account data: for the KaQuill account holder (you), we store the email address, organisation name, and billing details required to operate the service. Billing details are stored and processed by Stripe.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell or share end-user data with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party analytics platforms.
• We do not use your event data to train models that benefit any tenant other than yours.
• We do not place cookies or trackers on your end users’ browsers; the SDK runs server-side.

Retention

Event-level data is retained for 90 days from receipt, after which it is automatically deleted by our pruner daemon. Aggregated metrics (Ghost MRR totals, conversion counts) are retained for the life of your account.

Your data, your control

You can request export or deletion of all data associated with your tenant at any time by emailing privacy@kaquill.com. We will action requests within 30 days.

By using KaQuill — installing the SDK, calling the API, or accessing the dashboard — you agree to these terms.

1. Service

KaQuill provides a per-user conversion-probability prediction service for SaaS trials. Events you send via the SDK or REST API are processed by our decision engine, which returns one of a small set of actions (offer a discount, suggest a feature, extend a trial, alert customer success, or do nothing).

2. Fail-soft contract

If KaQuill is unreachable, returns an error, or times out, the SDK returns null for the decision. Your application is expected to treat this as “take no action”. We do not accept liability for revenue fluctuations caused by KaQuill outages.

3. Plans & billing

Free-tier accounts are capped at 100 nudges per calendar month; beyond that cap, our engine continues to make decisions but does not return them via the SDK (the dollar value of these suppressed nudges is what we surface as Ghost MRR). Paid plans remove the cap. Billing is handled by Stripe; cancel any time via the Customer Portal.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use KaQuill to track end users without their consent under applicable law (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), to make automated decisions producing legal effects, or to circumvent anti-spam regulations. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. SLA

Paid plans target 99.9% monthly uptime on the decision API. Free-tier accounts are best-effort. If you experience sustained downtime, email support@kaquill.com.

This DPA forms part of the KaQuill Terms of Service for customers acting as Data Controllers of EU or UK personal data. It establishes the obligations of KaQuill as Data Processor.

Scope

KaQuill processes the personal data you submit through our SDK or API solely to provide the decision-intelligence service described in the Terms. We do not process this data for any other purpose.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small set of sub-processors: AWS (infrastructure hosting), Stripe (payment processing), Groq (LLM inference for generated copy), and SendGrid (transactional email). A current list is available on request.

Standard Contractual Clauses

For transfers of EU/UK personal data outside the EEA/UK, we incorporate the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914/EU) by reference.
